New York couple goes 'head over heels' to tie the knot in zero gravity

While UK airline easyJet was forced to abandon plans to hold weddings in the skies after Luton Borough Council rejected the proposal, this New York couple was quite sure of exchanging vows in zero gravity, and they have finally made it. Noah Fulmore and Erin Finnegan have become the first couple to go “head over heels” while they got married in zero gravity. The wedding was held on a special flight that simulates the zero gravity experienced by astronauts on space walks. They had to pay more than £10,000 for this weightless wedding in a converted Boeing 727 jet that undertakes roller coaster-styled dives. The flight lasted 90 minutes and made 16 roller coaster-type dives. The marriage ceremony was officiated by Richard Garriott, the British-born space tourist. Both Fulmor and Finnegan are lovers of science fiction and they wanted to make the wedding really special. Even the wedding rings that were exchanged were very special, as they are made from precious metal fragments of a meteorite that hit Earth in Namibia 30,000 years ago.
