'Diamond Dash' hunt scheduled

HeartStar diamond ring is the big prize in the David Fairclough Diamond Dash, a “high-tech” treasure hunt in which clues are delivered as text messages to the participants’ cell phone. The event begins on Saturday, June 13, at 9:30 a.m. at the Fifth Third Center, One SeaGate.

Sponsored by David Fairclough Fine Jewelers, the Diamond Dash is a free event open to couples or two-person teams who must traverse downtown Toledo to find a hidden HeartStar diamond ring valued at $12,000. Individuals must be 18 or older to participate.

Clues and riddles will be delivered to the participants’ cell phone during the treasure hunt. Any cell phone model or carrier can play, according to a statement.

Participation is limited, and online registration is required for a chance to win one of the available spots. An after-party will be held at The Blarney Irish Pub & Grill, 601 Monroe Street, Downtown.
