"I'm Tired Of." Jewelry Brings Awareness, Money to Causes

Celebrities will always have access to high-priced diamond jewelry.  It is when a celebrity puts on a $10 piece that means something that we look up from our magazines and pay attention.   Now, with mention on the Ellen DeGeneres show and a viral video showing dogs and cats that have been saved from cruelty or neglect, “I’m Tired Of” bracelets are once again in the spotlight.

Featuring a recycled rubber wristband with a recycled metal and silver large center bead designed by Joseph Bortoli, “I’m Tired Of” bracelets bring attention to the cause—or causes—of the wearer’s choice, and without harming the environment.  For each $10 piece purchased, $5 of that goes to the charity indicated by a specific bracelet.  A 50% donation was virtually unheard of before this.  What started as only a few charities in December 2008 has grown, and now there are twelve different bracelets representing twelve different causes:  Animal Cruelty, Cancer, Autism, Alzheimer’s, Global Warming, Diabetes, Breast Cancer, World Hunger, Child Abuse, AIDS, and Heart Disease.  The website also lists many more potential bracelet additions.

Celebrities wearing “I’m Tired Of” bracelets are Ellen DeGeneres, Brooke Burke, Kim Kardashian, Toni Braxton, Lance Bass, Shannon Elizabeth, Christina Milian, and Jenny McCarthy, to name a few.  Since they make great, thoughtful gifts, people tend to buy several of them to give to their friends as well.  And so the message is spread, all while giving money to the charities that mean the most to us.  For more information, see them at www.ImTiredOnline.com.
