We are doing photos before the ceremony. Is it appropriate to be wearing the wedding rings for the photos? Or should those pictures be ring-less?

It's up to you. I have found this to be a matter of preference between couples. It is even common to do full bridal portraits complete with the wedding dress days before or even after the wedding.
Creating great images of a gushing bride can take a lot of time that is precious the day of the wedding, so couples should do what is best for them.
