She may not have had much luck with The Bachelor's Jason Mesnick, but Melissa Rycroft has found love with another man and is ready to start wedding planning.
The 26-year-old Dancing With the Stars contestant announced her engagement to insurance agent Tye Strickland - an ex-boyfriend whom she began dating again after her very public breakup with Mesnick.
"Sometimes the stars align and the clouds part and everything works out the way it should," Rycroft told Good Morning America.
She said that Strickland popped the question with an engagement ring at White's Chapel in Southlake, Texas and afterward the pair met up with family and friends at a local restaurant with a stunning diamond engagement ring.
Last year, Rycroft told People magazine that 28-year-old Strickland was her "best friend" and she has explained in interviews how he supported her after Mesnick broke off their relationship on ABC's After the Final Rose special on March 2.
Rycroft hasn't revealed any of the wedding planning details yet. But, following her popularity on DWTS, there is sure to be plenty of speculation about who will design her wedding dress.
